Dear Trillium Gallery Members and Friends of Trillium;
Yesterday we reached our goal of raising $1,850.00 for the ad in Blue Canvas. If you have been following along, you will see that the price was for a ¼ page ad, but Blue Canvas, noting our spirit, offered to give us a full page ad and write up if we raised the sum. In just a few short days we reached our goal. The check was mailed to BC, the photos, ad and all particulars are in their hands as of this morning. TODAY is the deadline for materials to be submitted if we wanted to make it into the July Issue. If everything they need is okay, then it will happen for July!
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who donated money, offered support, blogged, wrote a journal, nudged a friend, and rallied behind this ‘cause’.
Some of you are saying that this will be good for me. But I needed to say this to you:
Trillium Gallery is YOU.
Unlike some huge art sites we all can name, we recognize that without its members, it is nothing but blank walls and empty files.
More than that, you came to your OWN AID and secured something that could possibly mean sales for you, and higher visibility.
You have seen and felt the heart of what I have struggled to hold together… the idea that a gallery can be more than the numbers, or faceless members, or end of month sale tallies. You are the spirit behind the idea that art and photography, and writing, are about heart, and creating… a process that most of us feel compelled to follow.
If nothing came of this, if we didn’t reach our mark, my hope was that each of you might feel a better sense of belonging, a larger understanding of what Trillium Gallery is about, and come away with a sense that you can make a difference in your individual artistic goals.
I am truly grateful for all of you that helped. That Cared.
If any more funds come in, they will be set aside for future ads.
I toyed with the idea of posting a list of contributors, but have yet to decide if I should do that. Some of you sent in a dollar, and a few of you sent more than 200.00.
Some of you couldn’t send anything, and as I have said to you, this doesn’t make your part of this victory any less. There are a million ways to contribute to Trillium that has nothing to do with money.
Help someone who is new on Trillium Web, figure the place out.

Again, thank you, members and friends.
You did this lady’s heart good… and proved to me that you folks are starting to understand our heart.
