I grew up swinging on vines in the lush foothills of New York’s Adirondacks and Catskills and Vermont’s Green Mountains. So when I received a pink 110 film automatic for my ninth birthday, I knew exactly what I wanted as my subject—Mother Nature.
Fast forward more than 20 years and several cameras later and I’m still captivated by the magic of my natural surroundings. Only now I compose images with a greater appreciation of the environment and draw inspiration from masters of all mediums, including Ansel Adams, Robert Frost, and Thomas Cole.
