I'm a born and bred NYC writer now living in southern Oregon. I love language and words which explains my passion for poetry, calligraphy, song lyrics, books and playing scrabble. My passions and influences include people, music, dance, books, art, photography, film, cultures, travel, philosophy, fine wine and cooking. Family and friends are the foundation in my life.  This all feeds my mind, heart, soul and creativity.  Humanity, in all of its bittersweet forms, is the heartbeat of my poetry and writings. My zest for life and living it to its fullest translates through my craft. I'm a true romantic soul who craves human connection like I need air, and I'm not content with anything less.

Several poems here are from my "Inspirational Collection"  which are based on my belief in humanity, life, love, hopes, sorrow, dreams, healing and inspiration. Making a difference in someone's life, by paying it forward.

"You heard my heart" 

We travelled through time
with centuries between us
 your soul touching mine
 caught between old worlds


You heard my heart
calling into your dreams
while being kept apart
 waiting in the wings


For you and I
 have always been there
 dancing beneath the sky
 floating among the stars


Like birds in flight
 hungry as familiar lovers
 aching through the night
 bringing whispers of passion


Out into the sea
 crashing among the rocks
 setting our desire free
releasing the bottled love


That sailed with promise
 felt for all eternity
 awakened by great pureness
 showering upon our ecstasy


Which crossed desert sands
 and carried this love
 embracing it with hands
 holding thousands of kisses

When misfortune falls upon you
life has become unbearable
darkness overshadowing light
take pause for reflection
heal your broken spirit
with hope for better days…  

Unburden yourself of bitterness
that sits upon your soul
it will eat you up
never to let go… 

  Live, laugh and love
for time is too precious
to be wasted on pains
clouding your heart… 

  If the weight is too much
I leave you with these words… 

  Lean upon my strength
to lift you up
it’s with great length 

  I’ll never do harm
my love and compassion
outstretches my arm 

  Release those forbidden tears
of blackstained memories
drowning out the years  

Unburden your heavy heart
from its dead rage
it’s tearing you apart

With pain, suffering and sadness
eating away at life
there is love, light and hope
to cope with the madness… 

Allow yourself to feel
deal with the grief
work through the emotions
with time you will heal…

My love along the way
guiding you through
finding the courage
to face another day…

Remember, love and time heals all wounds

Even in the darkness of death
there are miracles among us
for every loving passing soul
a newborn takes its first breath

When facing sadness and despair
seek the love from within
stand behind all your strength
embrace and breathe the air

Break free of the chain
anchoring your heart
accept my key of love
unlock and release the pain

Ride the sea of emotion
cast away all the stones
holding and pulling you down
deep within the raging ocean

Look beyond the horizon
with Sun upon your face
weather through the changes
with my loving protection
