Trillium Gallery Member Guidelines of Behavior

Thank you all for your interest in sharing your art, photography, and writing with Trillium Gallery.

The space has been created for you due to the overwhelming requests to be shown in our physical gallery. As space becomes available, you are more than welcome to query us regarding showing your work in our physical gallery.

Trillium Gallery in Glenford, NY, is and will continue to be our main focus.

Please note that when you read the word ‘our’, we are the following people: Maureen and Jeff, and most importantly, YOU. Maureen does all of the web work. She also tends to all aspects of the physical gallery.
Jeff is our in-house printer, and prepares work.

                                                                   Code of Conduct

1-     The space is provided for all creative pursuits. There is a donation request for use of your page and the webpage features for one year. If you cannot do this, or choose not to do this at this time, we understand, and you will continue to be welcomed, and treated with the respect you deserve. The donation keeps us up and running.

2-     Trillium web gallery is meant to share art and writing. The forums, blogs, chat and comment blocks on the pages are there for your free use. We do not tolerate fighting, bickering, nastiness, ranting against each other, or being abusive in any way. We are the deciders of what any breach of these guidelines might be. That’s the way it is. Period. If you want to squabble, take it privately. We intend to keep Trillium online as a place of peace, creativity, feedback and goodwill.

3-     Any person in breach of these simple guidelines will be removed, whether or not you made a donation. All of your content will be taken down. You may or may not be notified of that action

4-     These are simple requests… be nice. Be kind. If you don’t have something nice to say, then don’t say anything at all. If you feel compelled to speak out against someone, do it privately. As I said, we are focused on the physical gallery at this time. We do not have the fortitude to referee. Please don’t ask us to. We will not police you.

5-     If you have problems with any of the functions added to the web pages, such as forums, comments, or so forth, please let us know. But please understand we are two people doing the job of many. It may take us time to resolve problems. We hope to add someone to help us with the day to day operations of the web pages, but until then, Maureen will be fielding all questions and concerns. Please apply The Golden Rule …. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

6-     There is no room on Trillium for hate. There will not be any work, written or art, that in any way glorifies hate or abuse which is or has been, perpetrated against any person or group of people. Satire is funny. Using the grief and bad memories of others is not satire, and it is not art. If you feel it is art, then you need to find another place to share your work. Trillium Gallery reads all writing submitted. We look at every piece of art submitted. We CARE about the content, and will do everything in our power to keep the heart of Trillium what it was intended to be. There will not be a way to upload your work directly to the webpages. We are not mass-producing or marketing your writing or art. If you are here, it is because we feel you lend to the spirit of Trillium. That said, we hope and expect members will carry the idea forward, and be supportive of other members' work, and dreams.

7-     Please have fun, explore, and grow. That’s why we are here

If you share writing or art by submitting it to Trillium Gallery you are telling us it is YOUR work. We expect links to be shared if stock images are used and the creators state they want link-backs. We will defend your right to keep your work safe. Please do not 'borrow', take or steal others' art or writing. Violators will be unceremoniously driven away and we will assist artists and writers who prove to us that work appearing in Trillium is theirs.
